Gawai Dayak is a festive celebration of cultural festivals and is held annually by indigenous people of West Kalimantan. Weekends from Dayak village 2018 are the 33rd event to be held in Pontianak, the capital of West Kalimantan from May 20-27 2018, centered on the longhouse of the traditional Radakng house on Sutan Shahrir Street in Pontianak. like in previous years, this event will feature traditional Otak Dayak rituals and ceremonies, there will be colorful cultural parades around the city and traditional games and traditional skills competitions in hunting with chopsticks, traditional spinning top (pangkak gasing), painting tattoos, wood carvings, traditional shields, bead weaving competitions and others. The festiva also features traditional craft performances and culinary achievements, art shows, fashion shows with dayak traditional costumes and fashion trends using traditional dayak fabrics, and there are also parade-style parades in the device. besides being followed by the Dayak ethnic groups of West Kalimantan and there are also surrounding areas ju.ga present dayak people from Sarawak, Sabah, and Kinabalu (Malaysia) and from the Brunei Darussalam Sultanate.
Dayak tradition of the device began as a harvest ceremony for the Dayak indigenous people around Pontianak, West Kalimantan, which had been part of their traditions for decades.
